What can put off a lot of my "Write a Book in a Weekend" writers is exactly what you describe about the commodity of information--they don't want to write what's already been said. What I encourage them to realize is that bringing their own perspective -- I call it their "unique thumbprint" -- to these ideas is what makes it meaningful to the reader. ...
